The Grajagan Beach, Java is one of the most exotic tropical beach getaways in Indonesia. Situated 52 km south of Banyuwangi, Grajagan Beach can be reached in 30 minutes by car from Plengkung or G Land( one of the most famous surf beaches in the world.)
Mangroves and teak forests surround the Grajagan Beach, Java as well as a picturesque fishing village which is closely situated near the Grajagan. The surrounding hills have caves scattered through out them which were used as hiding places for the Japanese during WW2 and are easily accessed and explored.
Grajagan Beach is a great surf beach though the waves are not as huge as the waves found on Gland beach, though for an intermediate surfer Grajagan can be challenging. With clean waters, and long sandy beaches Grajagan Beach is a great place to stop over and bask in mother natures beauty.
There is a small motel, sea cottages, a café, and a children’s playground which is in close proximity to the beach and basic amenities to make your stay comfortable.
